Would your character rather kill to stay alive or die to keep their friend alive?

Lol even my less-than-savory characters veer less selfish than that, but they all have different nuances, sooo…

Sashal: Oh, die to keep someone alive! I… I don’t think I could kill someone… *goes a bit pale*

Daya: I don’t have any friends, so it’s a useless question.

Milo: *gives him a long look*

Daya: You’re my brother, that doesn’t count. What kind of a question is this, anyway? What situation would require me to die to keep a friend alive, that wouldn’t also be solved by killing whoever’s putting us in this situation?

Me: It’s theoretical.

Daya: I kill the killer. Final answer.

Me: You’ll have to excuse him, he’s a bit of a blockhead.

Milo: *holding Daya back* I would avoid killing if at all possible. I’m not afraid to die if it’s for a good cause.

Averic: *nods slowly from his desk in the corner* I would have to concur.

Me: Care to voluntarily join an instance of human interaction, Averic?

Averic: ….

Averic: *sighs and puts down his papers, out of courtesy if nothing else*
