“John Doe was my professional name, not my birth name.” Sir S- John said in a forced, even voice. “And it is the name I will go by.”

Fine fine, fair enough.

“Professional name, you say,” Ah yes, Arsene wasn’t going to accept that… “What is your profession, Mr. Doe?”

Wasn’t that self-explanatory seeing as they met when John tried to kill him!?!

“I’m a wanderer of sorts.” With a hobby assassinating people? The only person in this group who didn’t know about that fight was Leana so…why bother? That said, Alessio probably wouldn’t admit to it either so that’s fair.

It wasn’t like he chose the job, (nobody ever did really) more like he was desperate. Like they all were.

“Hmm,” Arsene was scheming again and they were all going to die. “Have you ever watched the Sound of Music?”

What was the Sound of Music? Some sort of play? But what did that have to do with anything?

“No, why?”

“Oh, no reason.” Arsene said airily. And started singing. “Doe, a deer, a female deer~”

…I don’t get it?

“Did anyone ever tell you that you’re annoying?” John retorted snappishly while Alessio tried to detangle the words and figure out why that was a joke and what it even meant…? He glanced at Leana with a baffled expression.

“Yes, the mayor himself. He’s considered filing a lawsuit.” Arsene chirped.

“What’s a doe?” Alessio whispered furtively in her direction. And why would it be called ‘a dear’ and why…??

Arsene never made any sense…
