Leana had been joking about the biting. She tended to joke, when nervous, but always wondered if anyone realized it was in jest. Dom did…

She danced away from Alessio when he released her. But she didn’t lift her eyes to look at his pink cheeks.

“Mrs. Leana, isn’t it?” Another man came up, causing her to jump at his booming voice.

I’m not married, no. But yes, I’m Leana. She didn’t say it, blinked several times, and looked at him timidly/curiously. Her eyes got gradually wider and wider as he spoke.

But he cared enough to help. Even though he spoke almost without emotion, like a small stone might speak. Saeb Lyn, Hard Soft. 

“Or, you could use your spare hand and target his face. it doesn’t have to be a fist. It doesn’t have to be precise. Hit an eye and you’ll leave him temporarily blind, if the blow doesn’t kill him. Either way, you could weaken his grip.”

Woe. Leana’s shoulders went back, and she forced herself not to gape at him. Oh… “Mm.” Leana nodded several times. “What if I… somehow hurt him? I mean-” I don’t think I’d win? But- *large breath*  “Thank you.” She pulled back her shoulders, but her cheeks were red as apples, her eyes nervous. “It sounds like good advice. I… thank you.” *many running thoughts* Sadness and fear, are the main emotion in her eyes. But there’s also gratitude. Her face is calm.

“Frankly, it will take weeks, if not years, to teach me enough to stay alive. I didn’t get the idea we’d be allowed to stay that long.” The likelihood of me getting through this alive, is nil, from what I’ve been hearing. “Things won’t get better, so we might as well start. I’ll follow you.” ‘You’ as in plural, she looked from Saeb Lyn to Alessio, and back again. “I’ll call you Saeb Lyn, because you wouldn’t tell me your name. And you can just call me Leana.”
