Alessio had actually thought he’d have to convince her to throw a decent punch at him, so he wasn’t entirely prepared for the stunned look in her eyes to quickly shift to determination – anger?

Before he could overthink it, a punch swung at him hard. He automatically moved to the side and snatched her wrist using her own momentum to yank her into a headlock. He’d never done that before because all his opponents were much stronger and larger than he was as a rule, normally he would’ve taken advantage of failed punch to drive his elbow into the spine between her shoulder blades.

“How do you break free?” He asked still grasping her firmly to test her quick thinking and ability to keep calm. She was going to have to really fight and get beat up to learn how to fight he didn’t know any other way to train someone.

I can’t hurt her…
