‘proud to be single.’ I know this is a common thing people claim to be both in real life after a break up and in books, but in my opinion it is not at all a good thing.

Yep, I totally agree. It’s not a biblical perspective of things at all and a self-empowerment way to go.

However, it is shown as a flaw. Truth be told, she is not actually saved for about half the book, she’s just able to fool people, including herself. As soon as life turns hard again, she collapses completely and this is when her faith is really questioned.

That may have been poor terms on my end. She isn’t necessarily proud to be single, but she does her best to avoid relationships at any cost. I’m not sure how to describe what I mean, lol

I did stay up incredibly late last night and wrote 3,000 words. I am paying for it today, but a little coffee will solve that.

I am excited for draft two. I reread a page of what I wrote last night and burst out laughing because it was so cringey, I loved it 😂
