I’ma just gonna land here in this place that’s being robbed, I’m assuming it is now part of the Castle. If my assumption’s wrong, tough you should explain better! 😉

Also I’m finishing a scene from Fantasy Character Castle to drop my character in. 😊

    It was cold, and cramped.

Alessio knew he needed to calm down. This wasn’t working, he had to keep moving. He was dizzy and nauseous, it so dark he could be walking through pitch. Breathe sharp, cuttingly cold. Function, he had to keep functioning.

    ‘Useless.’

He wouldn’t be able to process more pain, so he tried to fixate on every abusive word to numb out. Not all the way, just enough to make it through this. It cut like he was disconnected from the past and the present at once, and he could watch it all at once like a sick tale.

    ‘Not human, just a weapon…’

He expected himself not to feel a thing, he was slipping into the persona he used to click into a façade of confidence and cold, calculating logic. A persona he hated with a passion, but needed all too often.

But that didn’t happen this time.

This time hashing through his memories caused an entirely different sort of pain. Disbelief, he’d never fully processed what had happened. But by comparison, it was beginning to sink in.

    I wasn’t a monster, I didn’t deserve your hate back then!

It had been normal. But it wasn’t, it wasn’t what everyone went through. He hadn’t realized how much he’d lost the chance to ever become. People had taken that from him, for no reason.

And they got away with it, were still getting away with it.

    “I’ve failed,”

Behind him, Nithel’s voice. The cold façade he was trying to coax himself slipped between his fingers.

“I’ve failed so badly, Giver of Life. Oh, Holy One…”

    Alessio froze.

The tunnel was beginning to swirl but he figured that was just his imagination. He felt sick enough he thought he was going to die, but they had to keep moving.

Nithel was saying something else, but Alessio didn’t hear it because the entire world blurred.

In the next instant they were somewhere else entirely, a kind of room he’d never seen before. Large and pristine but completely alien from the lavish expanse of castles. Four people already in the room, one girl, all of them dressed in the strangest attire.

Alessio heard Nithel behind him and gripped his arm without speaking. Not that he didn’t have anything to say, because he did, as soon as he could. Nausea churned his stomach like a fist twisting his organs apart. He finally cracked and doubled over vomiting.

It wasn’t fair, no one else’s body completely destroyed itself at the slightest trigger.

The thought briefly passed his mind, but he was determined to ignore it. He swallowed the acidic taste in his raw throat, steadily breathing in soft gasps.

“You didn’t…fail…” He managed, slowing each shaky inhale with an effort. “You did your…best, with the experience…and skill…you had at the time…And it wasn’t enough.”

Alessio looked back up at his friend, wishing for the thousandth time he could find the words he was looking for, the ones that could actually communicate his feelings. He just hoped he wasn’t screwing this too.

“Sometimes life doesn’t give you a chance, sometimes it just gives you a choice.” He mumbled, from habit more than intent. “Whether you’re better or worse for the pain. That’s the only choice sometimes.”

I have to believe pain can make you a better person…And not just broken…

He wished he could say something, anything at all that would help. But he just stared at his friend, uncertain about anything he could articulate, it was probably worthless. He just wanted to do something to repay Nithel for all the kindness he’d received.

Then he noticed. Everyone was staring at them.

“The devil are you looking at?!” he snapped “Don’t worry we’re fine, by the way!”

Instinctively, he made half a motion to tug the hood of his cloak a little closer.

That’s when a noise like shrieking feedback from a mic reverberated across the room and a metallic voice broke in.

    “Dear characters,”

    Alessio’s first thought. Was censored.

“I have seen the darkness of your worlds and I will expose it. Nobody in this world matters, because all are evil at heart. My demands are simple. I want Jacob Baron to be dead within five days. If he is not dead after five days, I will eliminate Arsone, Alessio Eliakim, and one random character in the Character Castle 2.5.

The formless given form, the temptation and darkness. Amnesia.”

*I’ll just see how the chaos breaks out before my character reacts (:*
