Eero smiled brightly and said very fast. “It’s nice to meet you all. How did you get here? And no, I have no idea how to get out of here. Not sorry. This looks like a nicer place than I was before.” He opened his satchel and checked the contents.

Of course! I haven’t had a whole lot of time to keep up lately, so I stepped back a bit. But I’ll try. 🙂 I actually was thinking about bringing another character of mine instead named Eero– he’s a little bit.. weird…

So… Um… What’s been going on? Do you mind filling me in?

I agree with both @evelyn and @cassie-hartfinh

Characters serve to drive the plot forward, and can help create the plot. I would say that they kinda act as a catalyst for the plot.

Calla mounts her saddless horse. “Where to?”

Calla sighed. She turned, looking at the horizon. “Does anyone know what sort of animals live here?”

After listening to Eiri, Calla turned to Alagwyn, who was still sitting on her shoulder. She murmured something to him, and then he flapped heavily into the air. “And stay away from dragons!” Calla called.

Calla narrowed her eyes. “Never mind.” She smiled suddenly and said, “I know. Alagwyn. I can send Alagwyn to look for them.”

Calla frowned. “We shouldn’t split up. Splitting up is how people get captured or attacked by a dragon.”

Calla narrowed her eyes. “A horse is an animal that will carry me– And Reyna, it’s fine. He should be able to carry both of us. His name’s snowball, by the way.” The sound of pounding hooves can be heard, and soon a jet black horse gallops into view. Calla smiles slightly as the horse trots over to her. She looks back at Reyna. “Coming?”

Calla shrugged. “I guess. I don’t have two horses, though…”

“Right– and where would they be?”

“I can’t be of much help in the magic area, I’m afraid. But if my birds or I can be of any help—“

“We need a plan B. A plan that cannot bend, will shatter.”

Calla looks concerned. “He needs to get out of the sun.”
