@princess-foo I also love Beauty and the Beast!! I wrote a novella a few years ago combining several fairy tales, but it ended up being 60% Beauty and the Beast XD. Now, the Disney cartoon…not so much. I mean, I DO like it, but they definitely had some problems they didn’t think through. In most versions of the story, aren’t the servants either made ugly or invisible? Also, have you read either of Robin McKinley’s books based off Beauty and the Beast? There are two of them. As I recall, I liked Beauty better, but Rose Daughter stuck with me more.
