“You suppose, Old Snake?” Nathair gritted his teeth. Of course, of course!! He should’ve changed his name… “Would that imply you don’t remember your name?”

Smarty Mouth was almost as bad as Alessio. He should be used to it by now.

“Well, since you can’t clearly remember your name,” Arsene ran over before Nathair could retort anything. “you wouldn’t happen to remember a certain paranoid, possibly traumatized boy named Alessio?”

Nathair looked sharply at Arsene, his bored mien completely dropped into something so deathly alert and reassessing he could’ve been a different person. Whose side was Arsene on, how much did he know? Nathair didn’t even know for sure if Alessio was alive – this could be a trap. He needed to find that kid before it was too late (and he needed to not give away anything to them).

“How do you know him?” Nathair asked softly, the barest hint of dangerous edge in his voice.
