    YAY!!

    I love writing death scenes. *evil writer’s laugh*

    *excitedly scans everyone’s fantastic ideas*

    The letter concept is interesting, but I think deaths in person are more heart wrenching (at least for me). I really like the ideas @ariella-newheart came up with, especially the third. Ouch! 😮

    @silverclaw-bonnetfolly – Wifi dying? THAT’S HILARIOUS!

    Here’s something to consider…is there anything else that would make the death hard on a character, other than the grief of losing a friend itself?

    Using Ariella Newheart’s third suggestion as an example, what if the severely wounded friend isn’t actually a friend, but a rival? What if the character who dies to save them has been trying to be the wounded character’s friend, but they refuse for some reason (maybe pride or a long past conflict that they refuse to let go of, even though she has asked for forgiveness). Then when she dies to save them, they struggle not only with grief but also guilt, and the regret that they were not friends when she died.

    That might add a different touch of emotion to it and make it more unique, rather than pure sadness. What do you think? 😀

    I’m so excited! Let’s make the judges cry!!
