@ariella-newheart Oh, that’s too bad. The inspiration for this actually came from a couple ideas that didn’t go anywhere. 😛 And ooh, post-apocalyptic fantasy? That might be cool…
Oh, I’ll definitely be praying for you. <3 I understand what it’s like when all your peers are so different from you, and how it’s hard to make friends. I feel that way even in my homeschool co-op, so I can only imagine that it must be so much more so in a school.
@evelyn No, I won’t be doing NaNo, sadly. Writing 50k in a month isn’t quite realistic for me yet, but I’ll get there! 😀 I wish you luck. 😉 And congratulations for your progress on 51!!
The Young Writer Workshop is really cool! It’s much fancier than Story Embers (but a lot more expensive 😛 ) and has a wider scope of recourses. They focus both on fiction and non-fiction as well as the marketing/publishing process. The community also has a lot more active members, so there’s always something going on. It’s a little overwhelming, to be honest (at least for me, as an introvert who tends to be intimidated by large crowds), and I’ve had a bit of a hard time getting to know people. That’s one of the things I really like about SE—the fact that we’re smaller and can be more close-knit, especially in the guilds.
