Good verses guys! Here’s another good one:

For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. ~2 Corinthians 4:6 (ESV)

We could use more than one to base it off of. (I know Rend Collective does that with most of their songs. Some of their lyrics are direct quotes from several different verses.) Maybe it would help to solidify what we want to say in the song if we wrote the creed first? We could also have two songs, one that’s a national anthem and one that’s a battle hymn (for the battles each of us fight when we’re writing stories and bringing light into broken worlds).
