(Sorry for the absence guys)
Þorunn regarded Chantara thoughtfully as a string of curses left her mouth, curses Þorunn’s father might spout were he in one of his ale-addled black moods. When the girl slipped back into her imitation of a weak young girl, whimpering at the sight of her bloodied fingers, the shieldmaiden couldn’t help but snort indignantly and roll her eyes. She had had suspicions of the ‘innocent’ girl for some time, but she hadn’t expected the girl to expose herself so soon.
“Don’t pretend we didn’t see you as you are,” Þorunn said darkly, striding past Chantara in pursuit of the goose. “We aren’t as lacking in wit as you seem to think.”

Karayan glanced down at his plate, then regarded Connel with a mixture of bemusement and amusement. “Please, do explain to me how the consumption of pastries is boastful.”
As Chantara whimpered about her bleeding hand Karayan resisted the urge to laugh. “I must say, my dear, you had that coming if you thought you could tame a goose.” He pulled a wad of loose bandages out of the pocket of one of his robes and approached her calmly. “Let me see to it, I’ve a deal of medicinal training.”
