Why’s it called ‘passenger’ btw, is it because of the clear mental image that evokes?

Kinda?  Not quite sure what you mean tbh.  I say passenger because the particular entity is kinda chilling inside Brendin most of the time (kinda riding around in him while he goes off and does things).  He rarely possesses Brendin unless he’s trying to use a lot of magic or is in a state of emotional distress (as that means he’s less able to block the passenger out).  And I’ve actually mentioned who the passenger is on the villain castle if you want to know.  🙂

Oh a lot of Alessio’s most severe trauma was in the 14-15 yrs range too.

Most of Brendin’s trauma was actually when he was in his twenties, once he’d gone to the University.  The only trauma he had in his teens was the aforementioned illness from a wyvern attack (an attack on Ironstorm as a whole, not a wyvern attacking Brendin specifically).  One could argue it wasn’t great that he never met his father (for good reason – the man was a philandering adulterer and the Lady Warin divorced him almost immediately (after tanning his hide with her sword for a good hour)) but I don’t think Brendin ever really cared about that.
