Here’s the plot to my fantasy WI(very slow)P, Sing Like a Storm. It’s kinda hard to break it down into quarters/three part structure, since I have it set up in seven sections 😛 But I was able to use the 9-point structure. So yeah… Sing Like a Storm, minus 12,000,000 details!

    The Characteristic Moment
The beginning to my book, as well as some backstory chapters spread throughout it. Setting up how he thinks he’s doing right, but also making the reader think that his “right” might be wrong.

    The Inciting Event
Cotter (my MC) gets captured by the rebel band (who he thinks is bad), which is led by two of Cotter’s old best friends, and his love interest.

    The 1st Plot Point
Cotter escapes their imprisonment and flees to Plana, a town full of slaves. He realizes how awful the slave trade is, and that everything he thought was true just might be a lie.

    The 1st Major Test
Cotter and a couple of the rebel leaders clash about how Cotter should respond to the slavery, and Cotter decides to help the rebels free the slaves.

    The Midpoint
The rebels + Cotter leave town to free slaves

    The 2nd Major Test
I haven’t fully thought out this one yet, but it’ll probably have something to do with Cotter deciding to sacrifice something to help the rebels acquire a jewel that’s relevant to a more intricate part of the plot that I don’t feel like explaining but have well mapped out in my head 😛

    The Lowpoint
This is a mix of a high and low here, actually. The whole rebel crew + Cotter are celebrating because they found this jewel, and are throwing a bit of a party for it. Yay! But then low… Cotter tries talking to his love interest who essentially shuts him down. And then she’s kidnapped.

    The Climax
I’ve got this part mentally mapped out, too, and it’s got some pretty great twists, so I won’t spoil it for you 🙂

    The Resolution
This is the part I have planned least, honestly… I don’t really know what’s gonna happen. But I’ll figure it out 😛
