I know this is really late but,…speaking of characters easy to hate, I have an elven slave trade owner (he owns the entire space trade of the world). He controls people by eating their blood. Also he’s been chasing his sister around all their life trying to kill her and killing everyone she’s ever loved.

Marnin smiled. “Exactly why you are here. Everyone trusts or distrusts so easily.”

He limped forward, looking around. Had they so quickly forgotten who was their foe? If they killed him they would be released. Perhaps they needed incentive.

“I am increasingly tired of your inactivity. If you don’t start fighting I will kill you where you stand.”
