One of the books that has impacted the most has been The Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson. This book was my main introduction to modern adult fantasy. As a writer, it mainly taught me not to glorify war. As a reader, it proved that yes, it’s possible for an ending to be even better than you hoped.
