Also a completely unrelated side note, but it’s gloomy and dark and cold around here right now, it looks like a cross between Middle Earth and an unrealized fantasy world, and I’m praying it snows already cuz it hasn’t yet and ugggghhhhh

I totally know that feeling! It’s been dark, cold, and wet here and I’m already sick of winter and it hasn’t even officially started yet!

We had a sprinkle of snow but it all rained away so I barely saw it. That’s early in the year for us though, our heaviest fall is late January/February.

YESSSSSSSS I do that to myself a lot just for sheer pleasure. XD My favs are the super sentimental scenes in the middle of a battle when people are dying and it’s great…

Ngl, I sometimes go back and reread a specific death scene because it physically hurts and then I’m very proud of myself XD That scene was so bad that after I wrote it, every time I think of that character I have that sick sinking feeling and it’s glorious XD

Wowwww I had no idea I was even doing that lol. I’m literally just writing my perception of Aydin and being like “and how would Niarok react to someone like this?” and then it just kind of works. I think it’s because their characters just naturally go well together… Lol right???? I literally dropped Niarok into the castle with nothing except a basic personality and a name, no backstory, nothing else. Then I realized he was a doctor, and then I realized he also has a super dark backstory and now I’m like… wow. He’s the best character I’ve ever written! XD

Yesss, it’s the absolute best!! I love Niarok and he has a really cool dynamic with Aydin. I really wonder how that’s going to develop now Aydin kinda clicked into his “nobody cares about me anyway so I’m not even going to try” mode. It’s interesting XD He might hurt Niarok’s feelings though…

So she’s coming here and it will prolly be a disaster. I think I’m going to drop her in with character development from the first book, which means she’ll be traumatized, having regular flashbacks, and super duper angry with the world…

Which might be terrifying lol.

*Laughs manically* THAT SOUNDS AWESOME DO IT!!! We’re all pulling up our most traumatized characters though XD She and Liorah will either hate each other or get along great XD

Lol I’m so excited!!!! I’m dying to see how she and Yila interact. And how she and Niarok get along. It’s going to hilarious especially since I’ve already her sooo much about her! XD

LOL, I already planned her entrance and it makes me laugh every time I think of it because it’s so very on-brand for her XD She’s going to make everything worse XDD

She’ll definitely distract Aydin though. Everytime they’re together he just becomes a very worried older brother who is very annoyed he has to babysit her XD And Liorah indulges her ‘manic youngest sibling’ energy much to his horror XD
