I did a floral theme in Between Here and Fairyland. My MC was Malai, which is a Thai name meaning “garland of flowers.” She was a flower seller and flower garlands were an important symbol in the book. Some of her family members were named Ubon and Ubol, which are also Thai and mean “lotus flower.” And Malai made a garland of lotuses

Oh, that’s such a fun idea! I love when stories have a unified symbolism throughout the story, it’s so fun!
