Wow, you’ve seen a lot of Flynn’s films!  How many have I seen?  Let’s see…I’ve seen Robin Hood, Captain Blood, They Died with Their Boots On, Dodge City, and Santa Fe Trail. (and a hilarious cameo in It’s a Great Feeling in which he spoke no words. 😉 Does a cameo count?)  My favorite would probably be either Captain Blood or They Died with Their Boots On.  The latter is horrifically historically inaccurate, but I love it just the same. 😛

I agree, he’s great with Olivia de Havilland. 😀  That seemed to be a general opinion, as they were paired so many times.  Do you like any other popular movie pairings, such as Walter Pidgeon and Greer Garson, Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers, or Irene Dunne and Cary Grant? (Or any other famous couples?)

I haven’t seen much of Leslie Howard’s work, but from what I’ve seen he seems to have been a good actor.

I have read part of Captain Blood, but have not finished it yet.  I’d seen the film first, and only recently realized there was a book.  When I started reading the book I was amazed at how exactly Sabatini’s Peter Blood and Flynn’s were the same.

😀 @jenwriter17 also likes old stuff, though I think she watches more tv shows than movies.  (Isn’t that right, Jen?)
