Arsene was recovering for the bruises on his body, when Tall, Dark and Broody final spoke up.
After hearing his threat, Arsene started clapping. “Excellent. Wonderful deal. Now, if you homicidal maniacs are done, who’s hungry?”
To tell the truth, he just wanted to lighten the mood. “Please go downstairs to the dining room, while I explain to…[Read more]

Hades did not know how he managed to sleep through ALL of this. By the time he woke up, the cuckoo clock had exploded, Sherlock was answering the door (he probably should have stopped him), Arsene had tackled Sherlock, and Alessio was on fire again. Hades even noticed the scales and claws on Arsene’s hand, making him wonder if the thief was a…[Read more]

Sherlock jerked the door open, as he glared at the mindless witch. “WHAT IN THE WORLD IS YOUR PROBLEM?!”
Before he could break that dummy’s nose, Sherlock felt Arsene tackle him from behind. Unfortunately for the traitor, Sherlock was able to fall backwards onto him. As he winced in pain, Arsene squeaked like a mouse. “Everything’s fine, ma’am.…[Read more]

“Saga Lore Longwei, I’m forty…five years old…” Arsene answered, not fully in control of his mind yet.
“Saga…is that your real name…?” Alessio asked with a very hopeful expression.
…Whoops… Well, no going back now. “Arsene Lupin is my name, young man. Saga died in a ditch somewhere outside of Mithril. Isn’t that right, dearest brother of m…[Read more]

Nathair smiled. A smile that a little too big. Okay, definitely too big. If you heard of the Smile film, you’d know what he was talking about. Arsene was having second thoughts. He hoped that someone would find that will that he drew up somewhere.
“You think you have it all figured out, don’t you?” The distinct sound of dice was like music, as Ol…[Read more]

“He wouldn’t hurt someone just because he can,” Alessio hissed like a soaked cat. “You don’t care who you hurt to get what you want, and that’s the only difference that matters to me.”
Naive fool. “Do you think Arsene’s any different from me? I’ll let you know he’s a criminal for the same reasons I am a detective. He wants to bring society to it…[Read more]

Good, that’s what a gray character starts out as. Character growth should be the main focus of the story (there are a few exceptions, mainly with antiheroes).
While that is what I was trying to point out, I think the Protagonist of Death Note falls better into the fallen hero or antihero category (which would…[Read more]

Are you even satisfied with your work?! Not the first time he was asked that. “I won’t be satisfied unless society itself is uprooted and burned to the ground.”
“Why?!”
Sherlock frowned, barking an aggressive speech. “How can you not know, you fool?! It’s because structure becomes evil over time! It can only last one generation, until it…[Read more]

It’s just my opinion, but I believe a morally gray character should have a reason for his/her actions. These actions should also be in character and not simply there for the sake of having a morally gray character. And in the end, said character should not be the same person they were in the beginning of the story. They…[Read more]

“How do you know him?” Nathair asked with a clearly strained cool-headedness. His mood had changed rather quickly at the mention of Alessio.
Ah yes, we’re getting answers now. “Well, that is a long story. I hope you love long, boring tales.”
Exploding flash powder, Arsene drew up his best dramatic voice. “Once upon a time, there was a cun…[Read more]

“Nathair, I suppose.”
Nathair, as in snake? Really? Well, serpent in other translations.
Wait, didn’t Alessio mention that name before knocking Arsene out. Now why would that name mean anything? Unless this man knew something. “You suppose, Old Snake? Would that imply you don’t remember your name?”
Before Nathair could answer, Arsene int…[Read more]

“Were you going for a style of every timeperiod, fashion and color there?” Ah yes, a man of sarcasm.
Well, at least he had style. Giving a bow for his audience, Arsene formed a wide grin on his face, before calmly answering. “Why I live for the chaos and inconsistency!”
“And you’ll die for it I’m sure.” The man announced his observation wit…[Read more]

When Arsene was clobbered by Alessio, he fell on the floor, busting his head on the magnificent tile. Then, he wasn’t in the apartment anymore. He was now in a strange, new world. It seemed to be a cave, but there were marvelous silver pillars carved in the walls. There were many symbols the thief didn’t recognize, but there were marks he was…[Read more]

Crorie was briefly surprised that she said that out-loud. However, there was no taking it back. If she was going to be punished, there would be no escaping it. However, Leana was rather calm about it. She didn’t lash out.
The door opened.
Arsene peeked his head through the door, with a talon knife in his hand. There was a brief pause, as he…[Read more]

When the armored fighter left, Hades decided to get whatever rest he could get. He was unaware of what Beskar steel was, but he knew that it was not invincible. Even if he couldn’t penetrate it the armor itself, certain areas like the joints and neck likely consisted of a weaker material. Still, he didn’t want to test that theory, unless he had…[Read more]

As amusing as it would be to watch the Syndicate of Disorder fight, the gentleman thief slipped away. Many would have called this irresponsible or shrinking from duties, but Arsene Lupin was actually going to check on the other group. Maybe check out some of the apartments later on. However, checking on the other group would be quick, as they were…[Read more]

With a look that said, “This is the last straw”, Alessio flopped onto the pillow and blankets he had thrown onto the floor. “I want sleep. Or death. Whichever comes first.”

Hades was about to attack again, when a white explosion erupted between them. In the chaos, he saw a grin on Arsene’s face, with the fox mask he often wore (he had it on again).
“Hey now, break it up you three beacons of chaotic energy!”
…What?
“There, now that I have you attention,” Arsene continued in a challenging voice, “I would like…[Read more]
