    TO THE RESCUE!!!

[I’m so sorry I’m behind on this! 🙁  Trying to catch up once a week right now… *master juggler – not* Forgive me, Darth Pen!]

First, I wish to express that I feel exactly and everything you’ve delineated! I work full time and after work have chores to do and etc. and I haven’t been able to really write anything for months now. It’s really hard because I’ve ll these ideas calling out to me… I’ve read some writers/bloggers advice about this and will share what I’ve learned here. 🙂 Everything Evelyn and the others said above are some great tips.

    1) Pray for guidance – I’ll be doing the same for you as well. 🙂

    2) Perhaps writing down or even discussing your multiple ideas that are overwhelming you with other writers and possible readers. I’d take a line-free piece of paper and draw a bunch of bubbles with my ideas in them, then draw lines among them to see which ones work best. Then sort the ideas out in a more logical and correct order. Etc.

    3) Make sure your current project interests you, but also make sure to self-evaluate once in a while that you’re also balancing perseverance 🙂 I struggle with this a LOT. I’d run to a new thing and leave the old one behind and then find out that I should’ve modified my old project with the new ideas.

    4) Sabbaticals are good. You deserve a break once a while. Sometimes we’re our own worst enemy in terms of stressing ourselves out about a project we vowed to finish a month ago or whatnot. It’s okay to just “be still” and rest. Sometimes writing is a scheduling issue. And conflicting scheduling can be a huge stress-er for me. So perhaps you can change your schedule and squeeze in a time block in your day to just be a writer. Perhaps you find that your schedule really can’t be changed right now and need to reconcile with the fact that your WIP need to be put on the back burner for a while. Please don’t be discouraged if the latter is the case for your current situation.  (I’m in it too!)
