1. Fantasy. *wiggles fingers mysteriously* I like retelling and unique magic systems.

2. I actually keep jumping between stories right now. I can’t get past the first couple pages, so I just switch to something else and hoping characters start revealing themselves to me. Right now I am trying a loose Little Red Riding Hood retelling that I have outlined extensively so hopefully I won’t get stuck. I don’t have a synopsis but here is a summary. *Clears throat*

Marigold is the daughter of a minor noble training to be a midwife/healer. One day, after going out and gathering herbs in her basket, she runs into a similar looking girl heading the same way she is. Deciding there is safety in numbers, they stick together for a stretch of the road. They are wrong. Marigold is launched into a journey across the country, aiding the sharp princess Violet, and aided by her former best friend Finn and his friend Brock. They have to get to Violet’s grandmother, the queen.
