True, this. *shudders*

I’m nearly always listening to music when I can get away with it. Lots of metal from various artists – Kamelot, Red, Skillet (though that’s rock) tend to be my standbys for writing.  I particularly dig “Phantom Divine (Shadow Empire)” by Kamelot for writing, including the instrumental version. I also like Skillet’s “Legendary” – I tend to loop individual songs too…anywho. Diabulus in Musica “Inner Force” and Delain’s “Suckerpunch” are other writing companions.

Basically any song that encourages me to keep going is a good one for writing. I grab a lot of Christian music too, but those artists seem to be more about insight to feed my thinking about what to write about – not that they are substitutes for bible study, but yeah. When I’m writing, I want less distraction as far as ideas go and more of a push to get me through.
