I add a spoonful of honey, and hold the cup out to Bama.
“Alabama, that’s quite a name, I like it. It has a very solid but pretty sound to it. Yes, Rachel is my name. It’s a bit less unique, by this time I have lost count of all the other Rachels I have met.”
I smiled, and shrug my shoulders in a sort of “oh well” gesture. After all it had been my name for so long, and I had no intention of giving it up.
“So how did you get named Alabama, if you don’t mind me asking?”
