HI! Another ‘advanced’ author here. =) I’m going to focus on the more technical aspects of writing. Sentence structure, word choices, and style. I am also going to be working on making sure all my characters have a distinct and well rounded ‘voice.’ I write contemporary romance with alternating points of view and I have a tendency to let one character get a bit weak while the other takes over the story. I want to get better at balancing them.

I also want to try writing a story by developing it from the antagonist’s journey first. I have a new fantasy series brewing in a note book, and I think working out the story from her point of view first will help.

@Sarah-inkdragon – I have the same problem with my villains. They somehow always end up being the good guy. =)
