Right??? It’s ridiculous how native speakers just know stuff. I have like 70% language sense in any of my languages but not more than that XD Sometimes less! I think all languages are hard and complicated in their own ways XDAgreed!
(The one exception is when I either don’t know or forget a word and am left floundering and staring into the middle distance trying to remember or explain it. Anyone who guesses and supplies the word has my eternal gratitude XD)Yes! It’s very helpful for me, because sometimes it’s just cuz I really don’t know a word. Huh, I can imagine that’s an absolute pain! The first thing that popped into my mind was minor shapeshifting, like the way Cinderella was the only person who fit in the shoe. It’s a stretch though XD Man, that’s a hard one!Hmm, that could lead onto something… Right now I’m trying to figure something out with the magic that ends at midnight and the fact that the shoe remained. Not every Cinderella variant has magic though, but always something that enabled the prince to find her (usually a shoe, right?).
Cinderella is one inheritance that includes the passive talent of speaking to animals xD Plenty of other characters have this too, but most of the time it’s not much use because the few “intelligent” fairytale animals still around can talk to anyone as they please. But still.

I’ve done slight research into Dutch folklore, which is always kinda creepy and very weird. It’s very Germanic, so it has little to do with most common myths and folk tales people have heard of.Researching folklore is always creepy lol. That’s why I’ve given up on that part.

It’s the most hilarious yet disastrous thing.

So much to resolve and leave unresolved! It’s so harmonious with the rest of the story that my messy brain and messy outlines can’t take it xD
