    @rose-colored-fancy

    Oh gosh, you both are making me even more excited to watch it XD It sounds really cool!

    I think you’ll really love it!

    (No one I have recommended this show to has ever NOT loved it, and I know you’d be impressed by the storytelling itself, so… xD)

    Dutch has two specific articles and one nonspecific. However, the specific articles are assigned based on so many weird rules with so many exceptions that I usually end up just guessing. And when it’s wrong every Dutch person in a mile radius will stare at me, “F o r e i g n e r” blazing from their expressions XD (Or correct me which is worse. Like, my guy, my friend, I’ve been speaking Dutch as long as you.) I don’t know how they just know which of the cursed things it’s supposed to be XD

    Language sense xD To be fair, Korean has some confusing rules too… but they’re definitely nowhere as annoying as many European languages are, I’m sure. Chinese grammar is beautifully simple, but they more than make up for that…

    Yeah, I hate it when people single me out as a non-native speaker. I’m sorry, but I have been speaking Chinese as long as you. I just suck at it, that’s all xD

    Oh man, I was wondering how you’d do sleeping beauty! That’s so much better than anything I could have come up with!

    Lol thank you! Sleeping Beauty was pretty easy to decide on, but I had a lot of trouble with many other fairytales (like Cinderella…). I wanted to give them abilities that were directly drawn from the original story, not contrived in any way at all. Needless to say, I’m still working on that Cinderella inheritance. *slumps*

    OH my gosh I’ve adopted Irvin!!! XD That’s just the best type of character, and I love that you chose to make him HoH! THat’s such an interesting choice and I’m sure it makes him an even more interesting character. I really like seeing disabled characters in fantasy fiction, especially since it’s so rare! It’s hard to write, but it’s awesome to read!

    I’m so glad you like him! He’s a riot xD Giving him a disability really opened my eyes to how I could explore the dysfunctional elements of the Grimoirean family on the Charming Clan’s side. It also connects him to the action conflict of this story, which has very much to do with an organization of rebels who are tired of Snow White’s hand in all their government affairs.

    Hmmm, lemme see… I’m partial to Rapunzel! I’ve also always liked Hop-o’-my-thumb, though that’s a less common fairytale. It’s pretty popular here in NL though! (It’s ATU 327A and B. That system is so cool XD)

    Meet Larkspur, my MC’s arch-nemesis xD It is said that the Rapunzel inheritance has something to do with tears, which could be a reason why neither he nor his sister Vivendel have ever been seen displaying much emotion (it could also be because they have Snow Queen on their father’s side, though, so their peers are still uncertain). Larkspur is… almost like your typical pretty mean boy (because… with a name like Larkspur, how could he be anything else.), but he’s also a very valuable member of the boys’ volleyball team (*turns away* I’m sure you can tell where the inspiration for this came) who plays the same position Hans is out to ensure for himself. They start off on the wrong foot right away.

    His passive talent is that he always has perfect hair. His sister has the same inheritance, but she grows hers out long because I needed a character with that long beautiful Rapunzel hair. (Most modern Rapunzel heirs, particularly the males, get their hair magically treated so that it won’t grow out long. I believe the only other alternative is to go bald, which is what one of their cousins did.) Rapunzel is considered one of the five Charming Clans too, but their own family is pretty “quirky” so they’re quite normal.

    I haven’t heard of Hop-o’-my-thumb xD There are so many less-widely-known fairytales that I wanted to represent, but I chose to go only for the iconic ones in this story… which does mean neglecting some of my all-time favorites 🙁 Most famous fairytales are European in origin too, but many of the bigger ones (like Cinderella) have sooooo many variants that I just created different “branches” of the families for a bit of diversity. Which of course doesn’t explain why my only Cinderella character is from a European branch of the family but whatever.

    Thank you! I’m so glad you enjoyed it! Ha, yes! They say that writing characters is getting them up a tree and throwing rocks at them, but I believe I’ve resorted to Molotov cocktails at this point XD Perhaps small hand-grenades. I’m guilty and proud at the same time XD

    Yeah… I get that feeling xD

    For Hans, it’s mostly sending a pack of invisible wolves after him (his mom’s side), or having him chase another one of his sister’s escaping gingerbread cookies (his dad’s side). He doesn’t have an inheritance–the element of this story is, Hans has no powers except a wacky immunity to magic–so it’s pretty obvious why he doesn’t want to get involved with all this craziness. He just… has no idea how many death curses he’s raked up from a certain villain who’s very upset that the stubborn boy just won’t die.

    That meme is me every time I write literally anything, but especially the climaxes XD

    THE CLIMAX Oh my goodness. Why is the climax always the hardest to write *weeps*
