    @rose-colored-fancy

Oh my goodness, I LOVE all of this. It seems like there is hope for the future of fantasy after all *weeping*

Okay but the characters?? I had no idea what you meant when you said it’d be chaos but now I think I have some understanding of it, good grief xDD Just imagining the group dynamics is… terrifying but totally awesome.

Princess Liorah of the Lehabim- MC. Objectively dumb as dirt. She has a brain cell she just refuses to use it. She thinks all problems can be solved by arson and sets things on fire frequently. She seems very confident and outgoing but is in fact ridiculously insecure. Also sarcastic. It does not mix well. She has kicked every villain in the series and bit the main villain at least once. Every day I regret making that my main character XD

I ALREADY FEEL SO SORRY FOR THE MAIN VILLAIN. They’re gonna have to put up with a lot (but I’m sure they deserve it lol). Also, her interactions with Gavril must be really interesting. I love good sibling relationships! (Especially when their personalities are like… this.)

He’s pretty quiet though he can be shockingly sarcastic. He’s probably one of the kindest characters in the whole series and has my favorite arc. He’s a redeemed villain, which gives a lot of room for angst and drama XD

Yes I do know that kind of character! He sounds adorable. I love villain redemptions! (I’m using the words “I love ____” so much here but that doesn’t matter right now) Also good job, looks like we’re both the kind of author who needs to for story purposes create miserable backstories for the sweetest characters *claps hands* In all honesty though, kind babies are my favorite, so I will probably be adopting Aydin along the way.

Faye- Emotionally intelligent, but does not understand how to prioritize. Will definitely describe the color of the sunset during a fight scene. She had exactly one (kinda) fight scene and sobbed the entire time. I love Faye dearly, she’s just a sweetheart.

YES. Does that mean she’s the one barging into places without knocking all the time xD

Ferran- Liorah’s unofficial impulse control and love interest. There are three brain cells between all the characters and he and Faye are the only ones who consistently have one. The other one gets bounced between the others, though it somehow seems to skip Liorah with shocking regularity.

why are they like this?? I love it lololol I’m not sure how a romance will develop between the two but it’s gonna be a very entertaining ride, I’m sure.

Acyn- *deep sigh* Thinks he’s much smarter than he actually is, bless his heart. An unbelievable know-it-all and unintentionally extremely annoying. He’s trying but he’s also dumb XD

Guess what? I also have a habit of adopting somewhat obnoxious know-it-all characters who are actually dumb.

Sahar- Somehow the most popular character in the series though she has practically no important role XD She’s the unproblematic side character who provides moral support and offers to stab people as a solution XD She deserves her popularity though, she’s amazing.

Sounds like a much-needed member of the party… stabby queen

And now I want to hear more about your characters! Tell me everything!

oh gosh lol this might be long but here goes

So we have Pax, the MC, the sweet, unassuming cinnamon roll who wears a blindfold thanks to his troublesome fairy gift, frequently gathers animal sidekicks, and when he gets comfortable becomes a lowkey bully but like, in a kind way (according to the others, he has “an evil niceness”). He has Fidelian heritage–Fidelians being a rather unpopular ethnic group after the long reign of their Empire, which only recently fell–but is Amaderni by nationality, and I promise I’ll give a more in-depth overview of all these different nations and whatnot some other time (cuz I don’t want to make this too long for now lol).

Lehar – Pax’s unofficial bodyguard. Actually, he’s an old family friend who’s lived in the area since Pax was little, except he was cursed into the form of a tiger fifteen years ago. So imagine a grumpy uncle dude in the form of a tiger, and you’ve got Lehar.

Erik – a mysterious Trimoorine thief (?) who Pax encounters early on in his journey. He doesn’t go by the name Erik at first, but that’s irrelevant. He’s basically my troubled “bad” cinnamon roll who harbors a lot of worries and doubts despite his easygoing nature, but he’s always plunging headfirst into dangerous situations for the sake of other people and it’s really quite problematic.

Della – Erik’s sister (?) who has literally unshakable composure, perfect manners, and rather intimidating fighting skills. Somebody help this girl; she needs a really long vacation after this.

Faëll – in all likelihood the best martial artist on the continent, worshiped by every young’un who ever wanted to kick butt, and a close friend of the current ruler of Amadern (who is also the main antagonist, but that’s irrelevant). I’m still not exactly sure how he ends up with Pax’s crew, seeing as he’s getting on in years and has sense, but so does Lehar so I guess they can share their grievances as wise uncles or whatever.

Serena – Faëll’s niece, a healer’s apprentice who currently cannot speak thanks to another fairy curse, the beauty of her town; she and Pax bond over their irritation due to Erik always running off on his own and getting injured, though she’s much better about it and doesn’t have a mean bone in her body.

Last but not least, Numair – the fearless, and I mean fearless, jester who knows everything about everything yet cannot juggle. He worked in the royal court of Kaynslie before he decided Pax’s crew was more interesting; apparently he can make choices in his life like that? There’s some possibility that he’s not Kaynslien or even from this continent at all, but… what am I saying, he’s a jester. All jesters are the most mysterious and intriguing characters in fantasy books.

There are many other characters, but this comprises the main crew. As you can see, the male-to-female ratio is a bit… unbalanced… but who cares 🙂
