Calix curled up even more and shook from head to toe.

There was no future him.

What had happened?

No, the scarier question was when did it happen.

How close to the present? How far away?

And how did it happen? Why did it happen?

Calix shuddered, closing his eyes to block out the unfamiliar surroundings of his hiding place. He could escape people, but not his own mind. He could never escape his mind.

Someone find me, one half of himself shouted, while the other cried, Nobody come close.

He hated himself.

He hated himself for acting like a child. Heck, he’s almost an adult, and here he is, hiding and pouting like a five-year-old.

He hated himself so much.

The first tear finally slipped down his face.
