yes! Editing is so hard. I’m working on the second draft of my fantasy novel right now and it’s complete garbage lol. I say that lovingly. But seriously it needs so much work.

I might suggest the Go Teen Writers book Edit Your Novel. I’ve had it for years and they just released the updated version and it’s amazing. It’s not hard and fast rules, but they definitely help set some guidelines that you can follow, so you don’t feel so overwhelmed by the manuscript. It’s my favorite writing book.
