@amaustin, you’re really named after Arwen from the Lord of the Rings? (Sorry about the stalking, I was just scrolling thru other pages and that stood out to me) If so, that’s awesome!

Also, in your favorite authors on your profile, you mentioned Douglas Bond. Have you read his Crown and Covenant series?

Yes, I am! And not after the one in the movie either. (Thank goodness!) It’s a fun name to have, and I have discovered it’s the only name that could ever fit me. I’ve never met anyone else with my name, but it’s kind of fun to watch people get confused and hesitantly repeat it. Although, it’s also nice to have them immediately recognize it and we get to talk about it. Kind of like you 🙂 I enjoy it.
I have! That might honestly be one of my favorite series ever! Those books have filled many hours of my time… I absolutely love Angus. Do you have a favorite character?
Have you read the series that sort of follows The Crown and Covenant series, the Faith and Freedom trilogy? I really enjoyed that one too. Although to be fair, I haven’t read a book of his that I don’t love.

Umm…I absolutely love Angus, too. I’m kinda hesitant to admit this, but I have a stuffed sheep named after him that always sits on my bed. (Also, agnus is Latin for “sheep,” so I feel like that fits.)

I haven’t read the Faith and Freedom trilogy, but I might have to when I have the chance. What is it about? Are Angus and Duncan, etc. still characters?

      • If it wasn’t clear, Angus is my favorite character. 🙂 Also, have you read Douglas Bond’s Mr. Pipes books? I’ve only read a couple of those, but they’re so good.

I love that you have a sheep named after him!! That is so perfect!
It is set during the revolutionary war in America, and as best as I can tell, like 50-70 years after they leave Scotland. More or less the Revolutionary war. The first one is about Malcolm’s grandson, and Malcolm is in it, and I think Jenny might be a little bit (?) but Angus and Duncan and everyone else has died. They do get mentioned though, and we are told some happy stuff about them.
I have not read the Mr. Pipes books. Knowing him as an author though, I am positive they are amazing. I will have to look into them!
