    When I first started writing (a little less than a year ago) I didn’t even get POV. When I wrote, I kept going between character’s heads. And not really showing anyone’s thoughts. I would show some stuff, but it was obvious.

    I don’t know when I was able to get out of that, but probably starting on my next book, I realized I had been doing it all wrong, and went into deep third person. Oh my gosh, there was so much of a difference between the two, and a major improvement.

    Another thing that really got me deep into my character’s heads was writing in first person. Now  that I’ve started, I think it’s  like the best thing ever. It’s so *them*. I don’t even know how to describe it, but I feel like I’m the character, and he/she is so real.
