I was a little intimidated by oils at first. But using them is quite easy! I like how slow the drying time is, so blending isn’t a problem compared to acrylics. The thing that I don’t like is that you have to use toxic solvents to thin the paint, like terpentine. I didn’t feel comfortable painting with it. I was scared I would let the medium fall, or that the dog would take a sip, or that I would forget to let the room ventilate. I’m super clumsy so it wasn’t ideal haha. However, I recently discovered water mixable oils and I love them! That way I don’t have to use solvents anymore as you can just use water to thin the paint and clean your brushes. It’s great!
