@h-jones Great – that made me laugh! I love your ideal “right good old poet”.
@evelyn Yeah, I’ve written some hilarious love poetry when I was ten? Eleven? It’s not terrible, but it’s not very good. 😉 You want to read it? It wasn’t about anyone I knew, just a story that I thought up that (I though) was sad and beautiful! 🙂 Hah. How much worse can it get? Come to think of it, I don’t know why I didn’t post it in the Funny Poems discussion. Think I’ll do that!
My ideal of the “right good old poet” is far different than Heather. I thought immediately of old Milton, sitting in his rocking chair, thinking philosophical thoughts, creating visions of love or nature or friendship or beautiful truths in his poetry. I love that idea and that’s what I thought of, so I can’t change it. 😉
As soon as I find that poem, I’ll share it with you guys. 😛
