Sorry if I got the nickname wrong. shrugs

I haven’t been around much, or very active when I have been. Mostly because I often feel extremely lost in places like this. To be honest, I’m not sure why I come here except to possibly learn something. (and I thought I was done with school)

I’m always having trouble with show, don’t tell. Is that something I should worry about as I write so it flows better? I know it’s constantly being mentioned to me when I share writing, so I’m not entirely sure.

I haven’t forgotten about this.

Still working on it, though.

Today can be considered a snow day for church. The official meeting is canceled due to weather (it’s horrible outside and going to get worse as the day progresses). But I plan to do some Bible study in a bit before I start working on this again.

Okay. So Maddie told me it’s better to write something 100% before posting it. As a result, I’m typing this story into my website/blog. It’s going fairly well, though I must admit that even this way I’m hitting a few snags.

That’s pretty much what I was wondering.

It was an interesting read for sure! I had no idea she was never there and it was more of a monologue (right?). You didn’t put the most description in, it’s true, so maybe say more about it at the beginning so the reader can then concentrate on the conversation.

Will it be all right with all of you if I do some writing into this discussion? For some reason I do somewhat better if I type something directly into a conversation. *shrugs* I have no idea why.

So, one story I’m hoping to write is based on a friend. I plan to give the main character the same name–Keturah. It’s going to take some effort–more than I’ve put in before–because it requires me to do interviewing and in-depth research. I also hope to talk it over with her as I’m writing it and possibly do video chats on Facebook.
