I honestly love these ideas!!! Jenny, don’t feel bad about taking the story if you want too. We could also both write it out and deside which one’s better afterwards. Up to you.

In terms of suspects, we need to have 3 suspects:

1. The “obvious suspect” that both the detective and the sidekick soon veer away from.

<li style=”text-align: left;”>The “hard to identify suspect” that the detective is framing (so it’s harder for the reader to find out).

2. The detective himself, whom we discover to be the true criminal.

I love this so incredably much!! I’ll get to work on writing it, and you can too Jenny. We’ll see which story to use later (even if we don’t use mine, I need to practice my short story writing anyway. The possibility is enough to get me writing).
