To get us starting on an outline, here’s an idea to flesh out or discard:

Person finally opens up about not being a Christian. They have pretended to be one for a long time, but they knew that they really couldn’t be one, because they weren’t a good enough person.

With newfound “freedom” as a self-professed non-believer, person gets involved in something he/she never would have done before (i.e. drinking) which leads to a painful consequence (i.e. car accident from drunk driving). Person begs God for forgiveness but doesn’t feel like he can forgive him/her, which makes person feel even emptier.

After the initial pain, person picks up a bible/hears a hymn/remembers a memorized verse, and God gives them understanding for the first time. They finally grasp with their heart what they only knew with their head: God saves even the worst of sinners.

What do you think? Could this be a working outline, or do we need to use something else? I’m open to whatever.
