    Aw! That’s super sweet! I like it a lot.

    Speaking of old poetry that’s not my favorite, I was fourteen-ish when I really got into poetry and wrote a bunch of them. Most of them were inspired off of the works of Robert Louis Stevenson and Robert Frost (Those were the only two poets we actually formally studied for school. I used to wonder why so many Roberts were into poetry!):

    Pictures on the Wall

    A wave of pictures now hangs on our wall,

    We used so many nails I can’t recall

    Their number; they rival the grains of sand!

    And on each one, a new picture will land!

     

    A picture of flowers, and of a child,

    And mountains, and forests, and horses wild!

    So many different colors! Can you see?

    Their splendor, like waves, has washed over me!

     

    Each time I look closer I live to tell,

    Of kingdoms in peril, and when all’s well.

    But my trip is over. Now I must go.

    My trip’s a secret. Only I know.
