Very few of my MCs have both parents. I just unconsciously get rid of at least one parent. (I will go back and fix that though if I realize it. Sometimes.)

Haha! I realized that in my own story when I was looking over it. Of the main four characters/friends, only one has ANY parents. Whoops!
