“Stampede of what?” But by the time it left his mouth he knew what it was.  

He stepped in front of Megyn. His sister’s words playing in his ears. ‘If you can stop the leader you can stop the whole heard. Make a T with your body, an ‘I’m in charge’ stance’ 

“Get close behind me or get in a tree!” He yelled to Megyn, then stood straight towards the noise. Standing firm where he was.
