Ah, this is so true! I often find myself writing like what I read. When I was nearing the denouement of my last novel, I read several books by the same author with long, drawn-out denouements. I didn’t want to end my story like that, so I had to go read different authors to remember how to write a proper denouement. 😉

Some of my favorites are Narnia and the Mysterious Benedict Society.
