@thetessinator Hail, wanderer. I’m so glad you stopped in and opened up to us all about how you’ve been. That can be pretty hard, so it makes me happy to see that you feel comfortable in the guild here. And let me just say that this kind of thing is exactly why the guilds are here in the first place. You’re home. You’re Ereki.

Second, I am on the tail end of the exact same kind of burn-out. Probably for very different reasons, but I can sympathize so much with the feeling of not wanting to do the things that you know you love, deep down in.

I am no expert on this, because I’m wading out of it myself still, but there are a variety of different things that help different people, some more than others. Keeping a journal can be a big help, if you need to process your emotions in a slower, more orderly fashion. Also, it might help to spark the writing itch again, by way of approaching writing from a different angle. Transparent and whole-hearted prayer, as the others said, is another invaluable thing that is rejuvenating beyond anything else.

God meets with the weary, and He lifts them up.
