Zane crouched down and stared at the greyhound(right? Daph is a greyhound?). She kept barking at him. “What is it?” He almost added ‘girl’ on the end but didn’t want to offend her. After all, who knew What a human dog thought. She barked again and pushed up against the bars. Zane hesitated then stuck his hand threw the bars and gently placed it on her head, trying to calm her. “It’s okay.”
