Sage stepped forward. “Wait!! Calm down!” Everyone stared at Sage, she ducked her head and her face reddened. “She wasn’t trying to hurt me.”

“Then what was she trying to do?” Colorado didn’t seem appeased.

“She… I heard something in my head. That was you talking to me, wasn’t it?” Sage looked at the young woman questioningly. The woman nodded. Sage smiled. “I’m Sage, that’s Tyler, and that’s Colorado.” She gestured to each person respectively. “And… none of us knows where we are. Who are you?”

Eiri saw another wolf coming at her, she threw herself to the side just in time. But it turned and rushed at her again. Eiri’s eyes widened. She didn’t have the strength to use her powers again, or to avoid it, or a weapon to defend herself. She shrieked and closed her eyes, waiting for the wolf to reach her.

Dagger’s grinned triumphantly. “They’re being overrun. Soon it’ll all be over for the poor dears.”
