Korzen shook his head, snapping out of the shock that Jake had put him into. “Wow. So… does that mean Avery has fire powers too?”
Jake nodded, he seemed nervous. “Yeah. Now we just need to wait.”
Kor was looking off into the distance distractedly. “Wait for something like what you did?”
“Yes.” Jake still seemed nervous.
West had started looking where Korzen was looking. “I don’t see anything.”
Kor bit his lip. “I know. That’s the problem. What if Avery can’t see it?”
Jake got even more nervous. “He has to, or…” the boy trailed off worriedly.
“Hey. We’re going to find him. Don’t worry. Why don’t we keep going while we look for a signal from Avery?” Kor reached over and squeezed Jake’s shoulder.
West cocked his head. “Sounds good to me.”
Jake nodded hesitantly. “Alright.”
The trio set off again, searching eagerly for a flame as they walked.
(Man, I was gonna have them see Avery’s signal so Jake would be less worried. But then I remembered the canyon and that he probably couldn’t see Jake’s signal. Oh well.)

Eirivia, still slightly in shock from whatever Colorado had done to her, carefully supported Calexia with one arm while her eyes swept the sand below, looking for any sign of the others. The carpet moved quickly, almost too quickly, and Eiri didn’t want to miss anything.
Suddenly the carpet changed direction, and Calla pointed. “There.”
Squinting, Eiri could make out the silhouette of a figure standing at the top of a sand dune. “Well, we found someone. That’s good.” The carpet kept going, coming closer and closer to the figure, but Eiri still couldn’t tell who it was. The sun was in her eyes, keeping her from making out any details.
( @scarletimmortalized @i-david I’m meaning for the figure to be Matz or Belial since I’m assuming Scarlet can’t stand up right now. OH YIKES. @countryboy77 It could also be Tyler… and… um. Yikes. Sorry about all the new pages. Um… please don’t die.)

Dagger K turned away from the viewing portal as The Immortal stepped out of seemingly nowhere, although Dagger knew The Immortal was just using her powers.
“Well?” Dagger tapped a pale turquoise fingernail against her arm.
The Immortal merely smiled cruelly.
“How long do you think ’till they’re found?” Dagger K’s eyes gleamed slightly maniacally.
“Oh, they’ll be found soon enough. Soon enough indeed.” The Immortal’s smile got even crueler, if that was even possible.
Dagger laughed evilly, and slightly maniacally.
