You straighten up as you step out of the air-ship, glancing about at the bustling city in confusion. Gears and intermingle with corsets and grease as you step forward, your heart lodged somewhere in your throat—but not from dread so much as anticipation.

A man tips his hat at you as he approaches, lifting a pair of goggles away from his eyes. “Good morning! You look new here.”

Unsure of what to say, you nod, rubbing the bracelet on your wrist. Was it true that it was people like these who made the bracelets used to communicate with the dragons?

The man smiles warmly at you. “My one tip for you it to keep your feet on the ground as much as possible. Been some issues with pirates of late, and wouldn’t want you getting into any trouble, would we?” With that, he vanishes back into the crowd.

Swallowing, you start walking toward the main city square, hoping to find some directions.

Suddenly, a dragon swoops down next to you, its gears clunking as it dropped a note.

“Some biomes have chosen a steampunk lifestyle. They’ve built cities and invented crazy contraptions out of the remnants from the disaster. They have mechanical dragons that are left over, and people can communicate with them via Parimi Alca bracelets. Certain charms allow communication with different dragons (only some people can communicate with a Great Dragon, but all can communicate with their shoulder dragons and messenger dragons).
