@coggleton Outlining is fine! ‘Character Chats’ are when a few writerly people get together online and work on developing their characters by putting them together in a situation and seeing what happens. This sort of thing:

*voices begin shouting in surprise as some scouts see the insane naturalish wall.*

Amethyst: *eyes widen and she steps back half a pace*

Koen: *lets go and allows his hands to drop to his sides* *takes in a shaky breath, glancing at his handiwork to make sure it was the best he could for now before squeezing his eyes shut again as the world spun around him* *don’t faint, not now—this can wait, surely??* *reaches out to grab something to steady himself, but promptly collapses onto his hands and knees as he accidentally leant too far*

Zap: *dashes to him* Funny man??

*army sounds like it is getting closer, but veering to the side*

Caeden: *sucks in a breath and kneels beside him* Sorry. I shouldn’t have asked you to do that. *grimaces* But we’ll need to keep going soon…Do you need help to stand?

That sort of thing.
