I can really relate about selfishness. Oof. It’s honestly extremely discouraging just to take a blank stare at myself and just see all the dirt and gunk. I think, honestly, the reason why I hide myself (and others) from my mistakes is because I feel like nobody could ever love me if they spent every waking moment with me, if that makes sense. It’s all very me-centered, because I’m so constantly worried about MY sin and MY forgiveness and MY happiness.

You’re not alone in feeling unbelievably selfish, friend. I think this is a normal conclusion to come to when searching for a better life, because we are all by nature very selfish. It’s normal. Sad, yes, but you are not alone, and selfishness is not something that God is unaccustomed to. He’s been having to deal with this race for many millennia now—nothing can surprise him (not that anything ever could, because He’s God, but you know what I’m saying xDDD).

More than that, He has changed many a heart just as broken as yours, if not more so. There’s nothing He can’t do. The worst of it is just… being… PATIENT. *fork scraping pan sound effect*

Definitely going to continue praying. ❤️❤️❤️ And I’m excited to S.E. what God’s going to do!!
