@christianna-hellwig I think it will work, but I find it’s easier to draw my character’s values from his backstory. What happened in his past (how he was raised, his culture, and the trauma he has experienced) all shape what he believes. Those values then determine what he gets emotional over. When you backtrack along his emotions to reach his values, you’re also going to need to create his backstory because emotion, value, and backstory are intertwined. Does that make sense?
